Divine Intelligence

“Honor all life in its variety, honor the soul in all its mystery and build a new world in our mind, a healthy world to live in for all mankind.” –Yehudi Menuhin

Understanding my connection to divine intelligence has been one of the main goals of my spiritual journey since its inception in 2001. My connections to the unknown started years before at age 5 when I acknowledged a spiritual presence in my home that my mother confirmed. As a teenager, I questioned how a God could allow so much pain and misery in the world, and became an Atheist. But life is not without a sense of mystery… several miracles and coincidences that occurred in my late teens taught me faith in a higher power. My journey of self-discovery didn’t start until my mind was fully developed at age 26.

Ten years have passed since I began my spiritual journey. I believe it is a life-long journey and that I will continue to develop my spiritual wellness as time goes on. I’ve allowed my mind to stay open and free since the journey’s inception, and my awareness developed in an upward direction to the point of enlightenment. To maintain this enlightened state, I am required to work for it. Regular yoga practice and selfless service to my fellow humans, I have found, are the keys to my consistent connection to spirit. With the consistent release of negative energy with pranayama (breathwork), and the yoga poses in their energy balancing nature, have taught me somatically how to maintain my awareness.

I have experienced heightened somatic awareness ever since I started practicing yoga on a regular basis. I’ve been my own chiropractor for the last year and a half, adjusting any alignment issues within the day they come up. I’ve also learned to keep my energy balanced by employing various techniques that I learned from yoga. I have awareness of internal body functions, and thereby can take control of said functions at any time. This includes breath awareness, control of heart rate (and stress level), control of nerve functions/imbalances, control of brain functions/developments, and control of digestive functions/imbalances. My somatic awareness was recently honed by my experiences in your Holistic Movement class last semester. I now can employ effective self-healing energy techniques (thanks to my introduction to Reiki by Lynn in your class!).

2011 was a test of my strength, endurance and self-worth, and I’m all the better for it now. Thanks to my study of the Eastern Religions, I can now verbalize my experiences. I’ve reached a heightened state of being. In this state, I am present and mindful of my thoughts, words and actions. I am highly intuitive and I listen to my instincts like a hawk. And thanks to the study of Buddhism, I am a witness to my ego, and I may now discriminate when it is serving me for my highest good and when it is not. I’ve instinctively learned to use the Law of Attraction to bring my spirit in line with Infinity. As a result, I have also learned only to desire that which is needed to sustain my humble existence on this planet, so that I may be better prepared to serve others for their highest good. With my main purpose stationed in LOVE, I consistently reach out for those weary souls that I may counsel them.

Aside from these skills of internal knowing, I’ve also developed skills of external “knowing” – I am connected to my ancestral lifeline. My great grandmother, Edna Bucklin is my spirit guide.  I consistently receive messages from beyond in the form of the spirit’s thoughts and emotions. I also feel the intentions and desires of those long past. Some ancestors I’ve come to know in the spirit world I was not blessed with meeting in my short existence. Generally, these spirits share insights and hints for my guidance to both my highest good, as well as for the highest good of humanity. Upon my request of the universe, I commonly receive visions of the future, which help support my visionary perspectives which I’m writing about for humanity’s evolution. I’ve been told that with these particular skills, this makes me both a clairvoyant and medium.
